Head of Finance - 12 month FTC

Handle are currently working with a hugely popular global media brand, who are looking for a technically strong - Head of Finance. This is a great role that oversees external reporting, financial control and manages a team of 4. Therefore, proven team management and extensive experience with IFRS and technical accounting is key!

Responsibilities include -

• Lead and develop a high-performing team, offering mentorship and development
• Review financial statements and provide technical accounting input
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards for both existing and new policies
• Business Partner with various departments to discuss new or complex accounting scenarios
• Oversee the relationship with the Group Reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Manage the audit process
• Advise on statutory account filing and global compliance

Candidate Requirements -

• Fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience
• Extensive experience and deep understanding of IFRS, technical accounting concepts, and policies
• Be a proven team leader with experience developing and mentoring a high-performing team
• Have worked in another large multi-complex media business, ideally TV production
• Proven ability to improve financial reporting processes and deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines
