Head of Finance (Financial Improvement & Commercial)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and high performing organisation. The role of Head of Finance (Financial Improvement & Commercial) will provide financial leadership to the sustainability and recovery components of the Trust's financial strategy.

Main duties of the job
  1. Taking responsibility for overseeing the implementation of the Trust's efficiency plan and the provision of regular progress reports, internally and externally.
  2. Collaborating closely with the Director of Operations to support the management teams in the operational delivery of the efficiency programme.
  3. Ensuring that robust governance arrangements are in place to enable progress tracking and early intervention where schemes are at risk of slipping.
  4. Playing a key role in terms of longer-term sustainability and financial input to the development of medium-term financial strategy.
  5. Deputising for the Assistant Director Financial Management as required.

We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant who has gained experience from within the NHS or wider public sector. It will be advantageous to have experience of supporting or leading on CIP programmes of work and have a breadth of experiences to draw upon.   • Experience of successfully supporting cost improvement and financial sustainability programmes.

  • Strong communication and engagement skills. Positive attitude and highly self-motivated and can motivate others.

£82,462 to £93,773 a year per annum inclusive of Inner HCAs.
