Job Description
THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners are retained by a Software company, backed by a private equity firm, who are seeking a newly created Head of FP&A to support the CFO as the company looks to make an exit within the next 18 - 24 months. As Head of FP&A, you will play a pivotal part in guiding the financial strategy and driving the financial performance of the company. As a strategic partner to the CFO and Shareholders, you will provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
THE ROLE:
Strategic Financial Planning:- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Work with the C-Suite team and shareholders to provide recommendations and insights for key decision making.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Provide the CFO with weekly and monthly KPIs and further explanations of variance to budget and PY.
- Perform regular product and client profitability analysis.
- Continually enhance business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.
- Ad-hoc business performance reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive financial performance.
- Partner with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Develop financial models to provide financial support for strategic projects and investments.
- Support the management team and Department Leaders with data-driven analysis.
- Collaborate and prepare monthly / ad-hoc reporting for Shareholders.
- Lender and ESG reporting.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Finance Professional (ACA, ACCA).
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with a strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Proven experience of working within Private Equity / Corporate Finance with exposure to M&A.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information and insights effectively to internal and non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, whilst being able to see the big picture and drive long term value.
