Job Description

THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are retained by a Software company, backed by a private equity firm, who are seeking a newly created Head of FP&A to support the CFO as the company looks to make an exit within the next 18 - 24 months. As Head of FP&A, you will play a pivotal part in guiding the financial strategy and driving the financial performance of the company. As a strategic partner to the CFO and Shareholders, you will provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.

THE ROLE:

Strategic Financial Planning:
  1. Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  2. Work with the C-Suite team and shareholders to provide recommendations and insights for key decision making.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  1. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  3. Provide the CFO with weekly and monthly KPIs and further explanations of variance to budget and PY.
  4. Perform regular product and client profitability analysis.
  5. Continually enhance business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.
  6. Ad-hoc business performance reporting.
Business Partnership:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive financial performance.
  2. Partner with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets and forecasts.
  3. Develop financial models to provide financial support for strategic projects and investments.
  4. Support the management team and Department Leaders with data-driven analysis.
Stakeholder Management / Engagement:
  1. Collaborate and prepare monthly / ad-hoc reporting for Shareholders.
  2. Lender and ESG reporting.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Qualified Finance Professional (ACA, ACCA).
  2. Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with a strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  3. Proven experience of working within Private Equity / Corporate Finance with exposure to M&A.
  4. The ability to communicate complex financial information and insights effectively to internal and non-financial stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, whilst being able to see the big picture and drive long term value.
