Role: Head of Marketing Operations

Location: London - We are a remote-first business and you will be expected to work from our London office once a week.

Role mission:

The Head of Marketing Operations will be responsible for optimizing and scaling our marketing efforts to accelerate growth. This role is critical in ensuring that our marketing strategies are effectively executed with precision, speed, and efficiency. You will lead the marketing team, oversee the marketing technology stack, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns, initiatives, and programs.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels in execution and is passionate about driving performance and team velocity.

Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that streamline processes and improve team efficiency.
  • Translate marketing strategies into actionable plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and metrics for success.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current marketing workflows and implement solutions to improve speed and quality of execution.
  • Standardize processes and build scalable frameworks to enhance team productivity and agility.
  • Continuously monitor and refine processes to ensure they are up-to-date with industry best practices.

Technology & Tools Management:

  • Oversee the marketing technology stack, ensuring tools are fully leveraged to support execution efficiency.
  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate new marketing technologies that drive automation and enhance team performance.
  • Ensure the marketing team is properly trained and supported in using marketing tools effectively.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing operations team focused on execution excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align operations with overall marketing strategies and objectives.

Data & Performance Management:

  • Establish and maintain a robust reporting framework to track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and operations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimize marketing efforts and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all marketing operations activities.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage the marketing operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.

What we're looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within Marketing Operations
  • Experience working within B2B enterprise SaaS businesses
  • Experience working with Financial Services customers
  • A proven marketeer who can demonstrate how they have delivered marketing transformation throughout their career
  • A sound understanding of marketing tools
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines & experience working within a fast-paced scale-up environment
