Job Description

THE COMPANY: Our client, the wealth management arm of an international banking Group offers tailored wealth management services to families and independent asset managers across Europe and the UK.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead and manage the account opening KYC profiles for wealth management clients, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
  2. Ensure timely, thorough, and high-quality reviews of new client onboarding requests, including account approval processes.
  3. Provide guidance to the front office and colleagues on client onboarding matters, addressing any deficiencies in KYC information or documentation.
  4. Conduct independent, comprehensive reviews involving KYC/AML/Tax risk assessment, plausibility checks, and verification of clients' Source of Wealth and Source of Funds.
  5. Manage alerts generated from periodic screenings of the Group's customer database.
  6. Identify and investigate suspicious activities or transactions, and provide recommendations to senior management when necessary.
  7. Support the front office with the preparation of extension approvals and appeal requests, offering assessments and facilitating management approval.
  8. Collaborate with the front office to ensure the completion of remediation and review tasks related to the Bank-wide projects.
  9. Assist other managers, the COO, and business managers with various compliance-related projects and working groups.
  10. Review and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), particularly for annual reviews and monthly control tasks.
  11. Track issues and actions escalated by the front office or management.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Previous experience of leading a First Line team carrying out on-boarding of wealth management clients.
  2. Strong understanding of AML/CFT framework and the regulatory environment and its applicability to wealth management clients.
