Job Description

The Role

As the Head of People at Stelia, you will play a crucial role in developing our most valuable asset: our people. You will lead initiatives that support the company's strategic goals, create a positive work environment, and ensure that we attract, develop, and retain top talent. You will be responsible for the acquisition of industry leading talent, creating a culture of challenge, innovation and market leadership.

The Head of People will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive the company's team expansion.

The Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR and People function Leadership: Develop and implement people strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process to attract high-quality candidates and build a diverse workforce across our global footprint of locations.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee engagement and conflict resolution.
  • Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive high performance.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • People Operations: Oversee HR metrics and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Organisation Structure: Oversee and implement the organisation structure across our global team.
  • Talent retention: Ensure we retain and develop top talent.

Essential Attributes

  • At least 3 years proven experience in a Head of HR, or Head of People role.
  • At least 3 experience in recruitment or as a recruiter of people in top tech.
  • A proven track record of acquiring and retaining top talent within technology organisations.
  • Must have a keen interest in emerging technology and an understanding of the market of AI.
  • People-oriented, analyticaland results-driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and HR processes,
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of employer and employee laws, specifically North American and UK and HR best practices.
  • Used to working alongside a legal team.
  • A second language is desirable.

This role will be split between our London Office at SE1, and remote. We're a fully flexible working business, but encourage face time with our growing team. You will need to be prepared to travel from time to time to work with our teams in North America, or Europe. Some flexibility with working hours is required.
