Job Description
Head of Professionals Regulation (Adjudication and Associates)

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic individual to lead our Adjudication and Associates team to ensure our hearings function runs smoothly whilst supporting our strategic vision for regulatory excellence.

As part of the Enforcement portfolio's senior leadership team, the Head of Professional Regulation will lead a high performing team to meet key strategic objectives and ensure the successful delivery of our regulatory remit. You will be at the forefront of ensuring public safety and shaping our regulatory services, all while championing innovation, service improvement and inclusivity.

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:
  • Lead with expertise: Provide strategic direction and expert advice on all adjudication-related matters to the Executive and GPhC Council, deputising for the Chief Enforcement Officer where required.
  • Manage a high-performing team: Lead a cohesive and motivated team committed to delivering exceptional hearings and regulatory services, with a clear focus on continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Drive operational success: Oversee quality, timeliness, and cost objectives for our adjudication functions while ensuring data accuracy and proactive performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate for impact: Forge strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and actively contribute to, and take responsibility for, strategic planning and formulation of policies as part of the Enforcement senior leadership team.
  • Ensure robust governance: Support the Chair of the Appointments and Assurance Committee with key tasks, from recruitment and development to performance management of our statutory committee members.
