We're searching for a Head of Sales - Groups & MICE in Londonto join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.

The Head of Sales - Groups & MICE will be accountable for delivery of annual groups, meetings & events revenue targets; by growing a defined portfolio of new and existing MICE and Groups Agency and Corporate clients and the development and delivery of the overall segment sales strategy.

A role less ordinary.

  • Leading the planning and ongoing execution of strategic sales & key account activity to support the delivery of annual revenue targets for group, meeting & events segments in Locke and Cove properties, globally.
  • Leading a small, proactive team of 1 report, Groups & MICE Sales Manager, you'll also be responsible for all areas of people management, from recruitment and induction through to managing workload and resource distribution as well as training and coaching, ensuring development plans are in place for every team member.
  • Establishing, influencing, building, and maintaining relationships with key accounts and agencies, ensuring robust Account Development Plans & processes are in place for all. Generating, qualifying, and following up on leads to support the conversion and delivery of revenues at a Property Level
  • Securing and maintaining beneficial partnerships with key MICE / Group Partners, Lead Sources and Channels (such as Cvent, Venue Directory), including marketing agreements, preferred status, commission override agreements etc. to ensure optimal positioning and lead generation for edyn.
  • Collaborating closely with Property and Close-to-Property teams to develop and implement their strategies, proactively identifying opportunities to support these, and conducting research and prospecting to uncover potential new opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Leading central B2B marketing activities for the MICE / Groups segment, collaborating closely with all relevant commercial functions to create a robust B2B Marketing Strategy.
  • Recommending and attend MICE / Groups specific exhibitions, business events, conferences, FAM Trips, and networking events.
  • Regularly sharing insight and reporting with all key stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing best practises, and streamlining of resources and workflows.

Who you are.

  • Proven experience in MICE sales and account management within hospitality or corporate accommodation in the UK and Europe.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Commercial awareness with a strategic mindset
  • Tenacious, organized, and driven to achieve targets
  • A resilient and adaptable approach, you are able to navigate curveballs and challenges with a positive and bigger-picture approach
  • High emotional intelligence to manage diverse client and internal relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrable understanding of edyn brands.
  • Competence in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for sales presentations and reporting.

This is a full-time role.

We manage our people to outcomes but expect you to be at your place of work (office, property or another edyn location) 3 days a week or more.
