Job Description
Your mission

As the Head of Systems (all genders), you have broad responsibility for the design, development and certification of the aircraft systems, which contain all mechanical systems as well as electrics and avionics. You will lead a multi-functional team, covering the mechanical systems like Environmental Control, Flight Controls, Ice and Rain Protection, Landing Gear and Oxygen, as well as Communications, Navigation, Electrics (low Voltage), Indicating and Recording, Lights (internal and external) and Avionics. Your daily tasks will entail providing technical and people leadership for the systems team. As team leader, you will also help organise and hire the systems engineering team.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manage the whole systems team for the Microliner development and certification.
  • Suppliers management including SOWs generation, evaluating proposals, performing source selections, schedule and technical performance of suppliers.
  • Coordination of suppliers TRM (Technical Review Meeting) and PRM (Program Review Meeting) as well as major programs milestones such as PDR, CDR, First Flight and Type Certification.
  • Overall responsibility for the definition, specification, development, and integration of the aircraft systems.
  • Represent the department at program/technical reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets stakeholder's requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all engineering processes/standards, and participate in design reviews to meet certification, cost, and schedule goals.


Your profile
  • Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering or related area.
  • Proven disciplinary leadership experience of at least 5 years in a similar area within an aerospace OEM.
  • Experience with aircraft development programs through the entire design, development and certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
  • Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering, safety process analysis and airborne hardware and software qualification.
  • Ability to interact efficiently with customer, authorities, suppliers and internal organizational units.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other European language would be a plus.
  • Passioned about aviation and electrification of aviation industry.
