Job Description
Your mission
As a Head of Test (all genders) you have broad responsibility for the testing strategy, test infrastructure and test campaigns. You will build and lead a multi-functional team, covering integration and hardware and software test of up to the full-scale electrical propulsion system. You also lead the simulation activities in SiL, and HiL environment that complement the physical setups.
Your daily tasks will entail technical and disciplinary leadership for the testing team. No day will be the same, and you will be given a healthy amount of responsibility and autonomy, always supported by the VÆRIDION team.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead, grow and manage the test team.
- Establish the overall technology test strategy and high-level test campaigns approach.
- Establish and coordinate an internal and external testing ecosystem of specialized labs, suppliers, and service providers.
- Lead the test facility integration, both internally and externally.
- Lead and chair the Test Activity Control Team.
- Implement a highly effective test campaign coordination including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Take overall responsibility for performance KPI and reporting to the external stakeholders, management, and team.
- Ensure complete traceability of compliance between design requirements and test results.
- Implement an effective problem management system both for equipment under test and laboratory infrastructure.
- Lead and control the representativeness of the test setup to validate all test objectives in scope.
- MSc or equivalent degree in aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field required.
- Proven disciplinary leadership experience of at least 5 years in a similar area within an aerospace or automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier.
- Substantial experience in HV electric drive system testing, ideally in the field of electric mobility.
- Experience with aircraft development programs, including verification & validation (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
- Outstanding network of test infrastructure, equipment suppliers, and experts in industry and academia.
- Proactive interaction with external and internal stakeholders and authorities.
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute simultaneous activities.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English and German language.
