Bloomsbury Football Foundation has seen unprecedented growth over the last five years and now seeks a Head of Trusts & Statutory Funding to transform these funding streams, forging a pipeline of robust and sustainable partnerships and achieving exponential growth which matches the ambitions of the charity.

  • Location: North London (Chalk Farm) with four days a week in the office

You'll be joining at a critical time, one year into a new five-year organisational strategy which contains the ambition to grow income from £2.5m to £8m. Bloomsbury Football Foundation is building the best fundraising team in the country - if you're smart, ambitious, driven and believe in the power of football, this is the role for you.

As Head of Trusts and Statutory Funding, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop a personal portfolio of high-value trust and statutory supporters, cultivating strong relationships as a credible and passionate ambassador for Bloomsbury Football Foundation.
  • Identify and develop new leads and opportunities, pitching, solo and with the CEO/Director of Fundraising, to win support.
  • Steward existing supporters with personalised communications and detailed and engaging funding reports.
  • Create compelling propositions, working closely with other teams and senior leaders across Bloomsbury Football Foundation and utilising their skills and expertise to bring funders closer to our cause.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for trust and statutory support.
  • Set long-term goals and objectives to drive income growth that align with organisational priorities and empower your direct reports to contribute.
  • Identify trends in trusts and statutory funding, working with our Strategy & Impact team to ensure that our impact measurement is optimised to attract the full range of regional, national, local authority and government funding.

Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Trusts Lead and the Statutory Lead, fostering a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Provide strategic direction, constructive challenge and support to team members, empowering them to achieve their goals and continuously improve.
  • Play an important role in a newly formed senior fundraising management team, collaborating with senior leaders, setting the organisational pace and supporting your colleagues across Bloomsbury Football Foundation.

It is essential that candidates have passion for the cause, a love of football and a belief in its transformative powers. They can articulate and demonstrate the ambition and impact of this incredible movement both through emotive storytelling and detailed impact reporting.
