Health & Safety Advisor - NI Rail Framework - Tier 1 Contractor

Due to project requirements across a major NI civils framework, one of Northern Ireland's Tier 1 Construction & Civil Engineering contractors based in Co. Antrim are now recruiting for a SHEQ Advisor to join their team on a major rail framework. The company have established themselves as one of the most successful top tier contractors in Northern Ireland, specialising in multiple sectors including healthcare, education, retail and commercial and civil engineering. Our clients have built an enviable industry name on their specialist team consistently delivering high quality service on £multi-million projects for global clients, which has led to a high level of repeat business. Due to their competitive nature, steadily growing order book and with a focus on profitable growth, the business has a specific requirement for a SHEQ Advisor to join their experienced HSEQ team.

Your new role
As SHEQ Advisor reporting to the Head of Safety, you will become an integral part of the safety team, ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are adhered to throughout the business. You will continuously promote, lead and deliver health and safety initiatives to help raise awareness of risks and hazards.You will be based across Northern Ireland's rail network, with your time spent split between HQ in Co. Antrim and throughout Northern Ireland.

What you'll need to succeed
As a successful SHEQ Advisor, you will have previous experience in a similar role in construction with a background in civil engineering and, ideally, experience within the rail sector. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree / relevant health and safety qualification. A Personal Track Safety card is desirable.

Due to the location of the sites, you will be flexible to do some travel throughout Northern Ireland.
