Herdsperson, 350 Cows, Harrogate

We require a keen and enthusiastic herdsperson to help run all elements of a modern and progressive dairy farm near Harrogate in Yorkshire.
Key responsibilities will include; helping to manage the day-day running of the high yielding herd, milking, AI, herd health & fertility.
The farm has recently installed a 36:36 parlour with; ACRs, milk meters, feeders, auto shedding gate and backing gate to milk the 350 Holstein cows yielding 10,000 litres. Modern cow housing and new machinery make this a very efficient farm with excellent working conditions.
The successful candidate must have previous experience on a similar farm, be able to think for themselves, motivate themselves and work alongside the owner and existing team who run this successful business.
