HGV Driver Class 1 - CE licence - Limited Company Self Employed

About Us:We are a small, energetic company focused on General Haulage using curtain sider trailers. Our team is committed and diligent, and we are seeking a similarly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join us. This role requires maximum hours and includes weekend work.

Shift Patterns:

• 5 days a week
• 4 on 4 off pattern available
• Part time set days or ad hoc
• Average Shift Length: 13 hours per day

Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM (must be flexible)

Compensation:

• £180 per shift (inclusive of all hours) Monday to Saturday
• £190 per shift (inclusive of all hours) on Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and compliance with safety regulations, use of pump trucks no handballing required.
• Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical issues and safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Accurately complete all delivery documentation
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
• Comply with traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
• Valid LGV C+E licence
• Valid CPC / DQC Card
• Valid Digital tachograph card
• Minimum of 2 years LGV C+E experience
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including occasional lifting of heavy objects and driving long distances
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to undergo training to familiarise with trailers and equipment
