Qualified Social Worker - Hospital Team

Cardiff

Pay up to £37 Umbrella dependent upon experience

A Social Worker is required to join Cardiff Social Services' Hospital Discharge team for an initial 3-6 month contract to support with Winter pressures. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team working in a fast paced environment to affect timely discharges from hospital. You will be responsible for carrying out discharges across 3 hospital sites: UHW, Llandough and St Davids. Pay rate for this position is up to £37 per hour payrolled via an umbrella company, dependent upon experience and references.

  • Ability to work with a wide range of professionals championing the voice of the citizen at all time
  • Sound knowledge of the Social Services & Wellbeing Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and the Human Rights Act.
  • Commitment to working in a strengths based way

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
