Job Description

HR Business Partner - Amsterdam

This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

As Senior HR Business Partner, the core objective is to advise and partner with part of the VP Marketing extended leadership team across various (HR) topics, as well as implement HR policy to contribute optimally to achieving organisational objectives through sufficient staffing levels and an efficient organisation. This Senior Business Partner role will partner, influence and advise business leaders on People related topics, actively engaging in the strategic and/or tactical direction, problem statements, business goals and priorities and how they impact the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organizational Design & Change Leadership: Lead organizational design and development, including restructuring and change initiatives.
  2. HR Escalation Point: Serve as the escalation point for HR Business Partners and Generalists.
  3. Partnership with COE Teams: Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure HR tools, services, and products align with business strategy and the People Roadmap.
  4. People Agenda Leadership: Partner with senior HR leaders to drive the People Agenda for specific departments, focusing on talent attraction, engagement, and retention.
  5. HR Policy Optimization: Contribute to the enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and processes; ensure smooth execution within the business unit.
  6. Talent Development: Ensure the necessary capabilities are in place to meet business objectives.
  7. Business Liaison for HR: Represent the business in the HR department, identifying and addressing key People-related challenges.
  8. Compliance & Global HR Alignment: Ensure local HR activities comply with laws and align with global HR strategy, where possible.
  9. Works Council (WoCo) Support: Support consultations and manage HR-related WoCo requests, particularly in NL (Netherlands).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of advanced HR knowledge and experience, especially in organizational design, leadership development, and talent management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Critical thinking for formulating business cases and proposing solutions.
    • Operational experience in Employee Relations (ER) and Works Councils (WoCo), especially in NL, is essential.
