Your New CompanyA major engineering and defence business in Barrow-In-Furness with an excellent global reputation.
Your New RoleAs a HR Business Partner, you will have the opportunity to work on/ across mega projects and programmes providing specialist support throughout the business, sharing your knowledge and best practice along the way. The role will involve working with different levels of the line of business, across different functions and at varying levels of seniority, including Functional/Business Unit Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Working across the business and within the sector, collaborating with leaders, management and other partners to deploy co-ordinated, business-oriented solutions reflective of our people strategy
Identify and lead on all people and organisation requirements for the business area and deliver integrated solutions
Manage and deliver the full HR life cycle, including talent management, resourcing, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, reward and HR policy and processes
Coaching and supporting our line managers, senior leaders and directors on all people related matters for your business area
Manage the day-to-day HR operations, in addition to functional HR projects that span the wider business
Collaborate with line of business and leadership teams to implement change and continuous improvement
Lead on analysis of people data, in order to benchmark and implement short and long term solutions that improvement performance, including the development and retention of critical skills
What You Will Need to Succeed
Experience in a HR Advisor role within a large department or organisation.
Proven ability to interface with senior leadership teams and influence the organisation's people strategy.
Effective communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at different levels.
Experience in driving improvements in process, policy, or practice.
Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing, unionised, project-based environment, managing or developing others in the HR profession, and CIPD level 7 qualification or working towards it.
