What We Can Offer the HR Coordinator

  • Hours: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Compensation: Attractive annual salary based on experience
  • Holidays: Staff work only during term time and are entitled to 5.6 weeks of annual leave
  • Location: Eltham, London
  • Start: ASAP

About the Role and Key Responsibilities

The HR Coordinator role is essential to Our Future Tutoring, as the sole HR position within the company. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and managing all aspects of the HR function. As a growing business, we are evolving our HR department, focusing on upgrading policies, procedures, documentation, and systems. This position will involve leading development projects, generating innovative solutions for improvement, and implementing changes across multiple departments.

Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage employment contracts
  • Ensure HR compliance with laws and regulations
  • Support recruitment processes, from posting jobs and hosting interviews to onboarding new hires
  • Manage HR policies and updates
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance records
  • Provide payroll support and manage HR/payroll systems
  • Assist with general HR duties as needed
  • Provide guidance to staff and management on HR and payroll inquiries
  • Oversee and maintain records of staff training and development programmes
  • Assist management with performance management processes and strategies
  • Promote overall wellbeing

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in HR coordination or a related field (HR-related qualifications are a bonus!)
  • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment law
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in online HR systems
  • Basic payroll experience or transferable skills with a willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • The ability to work independently and confidently
