Investment Director - Life Science Venture Capital fund, London

THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is delighted to be working with a leading Venture Capital fund that will invest across the UK and Europe, targeting investments of up to £15m across the funding cycles, typically looking at an initial investment at the Seed stage.

As part of a collegiate team, you'll be responsible for sourcing, leading, and managing investments. You'll primarily focus on the Therapeutics space but also have exposure to devices, diagnostics, and the Healthtech space. You'll also have responsibility for mentoring junior team members.

THE ROLE:

• Origination on new investment opportunities throughout the UK and Europe
• Leading of deal execution
• Monitor and evaluate performance of portfolio
• Working closely with Boards

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Significant Venture Capital deal execution experience, having originated and led deals ideally through to exit
• Experience in the Therapeutic space
• You'll have proven experience dealing with challenging decisions and Boards
• You'll have the ability to manage junior team members and different stakeholders, with maturity and confidence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
