We in the "Infrastructure Architecture" department are responsible, among other things, for the strategic orientation, conceptual design, implementation and further development of the highly complex educational network infrastructure (WAN, W/LAN, 420 locations, 20,000 active network components, 275,000 users) of the state general education schools and external offices.

Your tasks

You

  • shape the strategic direction and further development of the school network infrastructure in conjunction with the setting of technical network standards.
  • design and implement network security, support the defense against attacks on the network and ensure youth media protection.
  • advise managers and employees of the offices, the multipliers of the LI, provide 3rd level support together with Dataport and other service providers.

  • develop technical solutions for convenient working in the various school network infrastructure environments (administration/education)
  • take on and support technically demanding network infrastructure projects.

Your profile Required
  • University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field of study with a focus on computer science or
  • Skills and experience equivalent to a university degree based on a completed degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in the above-mentioned fields and an additional 5 years of relevant professional experience

Advantageous
  • Several years of practical experience in the field of network infrastructure and the ability to develop and implement new innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructures in large companies and experience with different server and end device architectures
  • Desire to organize and manage complex topics in a diverse environment
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as an independent and results-oriented way of working
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident manner, ability to resolve conflicts and very good written and spoken communication skills (German C1/C2), especially in complex IT matters
