Our client, a leading organisation is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to bolster its digital safety and strengthen its IT security framework. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining secure IT systems, proactively improving security measures, and supporting the organisation's evolving technology needs.

IT Security Specialist responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to IT security alerts, addressing potential incidents promptly.
• Maintain and enhance internal vulnerability management systems.
• Collaborate with IT operations to remediate vulnerabilities effectively.
• Manage and maintain client and server Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.
• Document security incidents thoroughly, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Generate and deliver monthly security reports.
• Contribute to the implementation of new security systems and project delivery.
• Maintain and update technical documentation to reflect current processes.
• Support workplace safety through active participation in safety initiatives.

IT Security Specialist requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years in information security or significant IT systems administration experience with a security focus.
• Demonstrated expertise in incident response and system monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft server and client patch management.
• Proficiency in EDR systems, antivirus platforms, and Firewall security.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, including Defender.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• Resilience under pressure and an ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on team success.
• Customer-centric attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
