Job Description

Role: ITIL Managing Professional

Work Mode: Hybrid

Constraint: Need to work from Client Office 2 days a week

Location: London or Milton Keynes

The role holder has responsibility for the operational implementation of the Change Management process across all Open University Digital and IT services.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  1. Formal ITILv3/4 certification(s) - Example: ITIL Managing Professional (MP) level profile
  2. Evidence of sound practical experience of operational Change Management
  3. Excellent interpersonal, initiative, written, communication, negotiating, influencing, and team working skills
  4. An excellent customer service approach
  5. Proven ability to provide management information and data on IT services and systems
  6. Experience of introducing agile and automated change processes in more traditional environments and operating both together
  7. A knowledge of Risk Management
Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all Changes are recorded, evaluated, authorised, prioritised, planned, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled manner
  2. Ensure all Changes are assessed according to Risk and Impact
  3. Engage with internal and external auditors/previous audits to ensure that Changes are being correctly recorded and managed
  4. Lead the approval/authorisation of Changes in Change Advisory Board (CAB)
  5. Maintain a Forward Schedule of Change, and identify and manage scheduling conflicts
  6. Define and approve classification of Changes and appropriate pathways
  7. Drive automation and ongoing refinement of the CAB process, ensuring that approvals, documentation, and communication are digital, streamlined, and efficient
  8. Monitor compliance to the Change Management Process
  9. Liaise with stakeholders and technical staff
  10. Negotiate Change windows with business units
  11. Ensure relevant KPIs are defined and reported correctly
