Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician, to join an independent diagnostic laboratory in the animal health industry, at their site based in Cambridge, on a permanent basis.

Role:
- Performing laboratory tests of various types, to provide high quality and reliable results for reporting to clients under the overall supervision of the Head of Department.
- Sample reception and identify and prepare samples for analysis.
- Analysis of samples using RIA/ELISA, PCR and Biochemistry analysers.
- Use of the Matrix LIMS system and data entry.
- Maintenance and correct use of laboratory Equipment.
- Preparation of reagents and reception of stock and reagents.
- General laboratory housekeeping.
- Assist with method validation.
- Environmental/temperature monitoring.
- Adherence to written Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Controls Health & Safety rules and radioactive procedures as defined by the Environment Agency.
Your Background:
- Qualification or experience in a scientific environment would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of the important elements of laboratory diagnostic testing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
