SUMMARY
The American Medical Center was founded in 2012 to address and help fill the needs of the Americans stationed in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. As demand for medical services grew, the American Medical Center expanded its on-site medical services to include family practice physicians, physical therapists, psychiatrists, nutritional counseling, and veterans' evaluation services. Today the American Medical Center provides many benefits across two locations.
Qualifications
- License: Possess a current board-certified psychiatrist, active, valid, and unrestricted license in at least one of the 50 states, and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territories of the United States.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Language Requirement: Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
- Commitment to ethical patient care and treatment.
- Strong desire to collaborate in a diverse team.
- Able to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/caregivers, and medical and non-medical staff professionally and courteously.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating and diagnosing patients.
- Prescribing medications.
- Conducting other forms of treatment, such as psychotherapy or electroconvulsive therapy.
- Ongoing patient care and evaluation.
- Medication management.
