Mechanical Development Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering Group (ME) and contribute to the development of Grooming and Beauty appliances such as Shavers, Groomers, One Blade, Epilators, and Accessories. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from initial concept through to mass production in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will be part of a dynamic Grooming & Beauty Mechanical Engineering team consisting of 20 technical experts. This inclusive and diverse team values collaboration and regularly celebrates success. You will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Group Leader.

Functie-eisenKey Responsibilities:
- As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and documentation required to develop mechanical components for Grooming and Beauty appliances. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and detailing mechanical components and systems according to specifications, including predictive analysis and material selection (metal and plastic).
- Creating detailed 3D and 2D files while considering Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Leading product ideation, concept development, and decision-making sessions.
- Planning, prioritizing tasks, and managing interfaces between product modules.
- Leading DFMEAs and following V-model methodologies.
- Developing prototypes and conducting rigorous testing, while analyzing results and writing detailed reports.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including system engineers, electronics engineers, and commercial managers to ensure the highest level of product quality and innovation.
- Developing new test methods and tools in collaboration with test and validation architects.
- Continuously identifying gaps for improvement in engineering processes, driving the team to a higher level of performance.
