Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Teesside. This role involves managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute multi-discipline projects related to hydrocarbon storage tanks and piping.
- Progress projects from scope definition to commissioning.
- Act as a safety champion, driving standards and supporting incident investigations.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the business.
- Manage project modifications and changes, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
- Oversee project cost control, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
- Develop engineering specifications and prepare Scopes-of-Work for tenders.
- Evaluate and manage technical queries and design changes.
- Commission equipment safely and integrate into site operations.
- Degree in Engineering (preferably chartered status).
- Strong experience in project engineering or management.
- Knowledge of storage tank overhauls, repairs, and cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with CDM Regulations and COMAH.
- Experience in oil & gas or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in restricted areas, at height, and in confined spaces.
- Full UK driving licence.
