The EMEA Medical Affairs Director, in accordance with Global Strategy, will define the EMEA medical strategy and supervise its implementation across the region. She/He will lead the EMEA medical community providing medical guidance and expertise across the organization and externally.
Key Responsibilities :- Define the EMEA medical strategy in close collaboration with the global and local medical affairs as well as cross-functional teams.
- Lead the Medical Community at EMEA level (Medical Excellence, Medical Education and training, organization set up)
- Support Global team in the development of the annual medical plan; supervise its execution with the local team
- Develop strong and sustainable relationships with EMEA KOL, in line with Franchise global KOL engagement plan
- Provide recommendation for product development and lifecycle management
- Ensure a Patient Centric approach and coordinate EMEA Patients Advocacy activities
- Represent EMEA medical affairs as a proactive contributor in various cross-functional teams and committees
- Be a member of the EMEA leadership team
- Support Business Development efforts as per EMEA strategic plan
- Be the medical counterpart for EMEA GM
- Advanced Clinical/Science degree (ideally MD or PharmD)
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs
- Experience in executing medical/scientific strategies and plans demonstrating a value-add capability and mindset across multiple countries in Europe
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- The ability to travel 25 to 35% of the time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Rare Disease, Oncology, Hematology
- Possess a positive, energetic, and a can-do attitude
- Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment
