Medical Director - RWD/RWE, Innovative Medicines

Medical Director vacancy requiring profound RWD/RWE and Innovative Medicines knowledge for a globally operating Basel based company in the Pharma sector.

Your tasks:

• Developing and delivering innovative integrated evidence strategies to support the value of medicines, in collaboration with internal partners
• Acting as a change agent to drive the creation and implementation of Integrated Evidence and RWE strategies across the portfolio
• Identifying evidence needs, recommending fit-for-purpose data solutions, and optimizing approval, access, and clinical adoption
• Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure scientific rigor in evidence strategies, study designs, and analyses
• Building partnerships with medical societies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to advance RWE research collaborations
• Contributing to innovative data platforms, methodologies, and technologies to enhance the use of integrated evidence in reimagining medicine

Your experience/knowledge:

• 3+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical, academic, healthcare, payer, HTA, or consultancy settings
• Expertise in RWD/RWE and related disciplines for generating evidence from prospective and retrospective studies, including secondary data sources
• In-depth knowledge of drug development and evidence generation to support regulatory approval, market access, and clinical adoption
• Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical methods for clinical data, observational, and epidemiological research
• Demonstrated success in leading RWD-based research projects utilizing claims, EHRs, registries, biobanks, or digital platforms, with publication experience
• Experience working with quantitative scientists and analysts

• Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change effectively
• Expertise in conveying complex technical concepts and evidence-based solutions to diverse audiences
