About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a MRI Radiographer to join our New Community Diagnostic Centre in Northampton.

The location for the new purpose-built Centre will be Corby and there will be an MRI and CT service.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of our new team, with a minimum of 1 years' experience working in MRI.

There will be opportunities to cross train and develop your skills within the service.

You will be working with a dedicated team of Radiographers and HCA's. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role, rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training. Hep B immunisation is necessary for this role.

The hours for this role are 40 hours per week Monday - Sunday

Please note: At present the service is undertaken on Mobile MRI and CT scanner, which is located close to the Kings Heath site, these services will transition into the new purpose-built centre one building work is completed.

Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will perform a wide variety of MRI examinations and this would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience to further develop their career. The successful candidate will have a flexible and patient-focused attitude and be able to work flexibly within the team. We are looking for someone who can build an excellent rapport with patients and customers (both internal and external) and continue to provide high standards of care and service.

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in MRI with the ability and organisational skills to work with the team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT literacy are essential. The candidate should be accustomed to performing different type of MRI scans (including contrast and non-contrast) on a routine basis.

IV Cannulation skills are essential for this role (training will be provided where required)
Previous cannulation experience would be an advantage
Evidence of Clinical competency

Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills including time management
Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Ability to be innovative and forward thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving
Strong on attention to detail
Must be IT literate
Able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team
HCPC registration
