Naval Architect

Naval Architect - Contract - Hybrid working - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Naval Architect to work at a leading defence client, working on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will utilise their skills and abilities in this domain, to conduct concept and feasibility studies into the Naval Architectural aspects of vessel designs, including whole ship design studies.

The role will require taking responsibility for undertaking highly complex naval platform design studies, performing high and low level design work, and researching products and emerging technologies.

The candidate will also assess multiple technical platforms and be involved with selection and acquisition processes.

Experience required:

- A strong background in architectural design, gained within the defence sector and ideally with specific experience with naval products and designs.

- Experience of studying and researching platform options and naval modelling.

- Experience of working on concept design studies, and in large multinational environments

- Recent experience of producing high quality, well-structured and logically written reports and design documentation.

- Skills in using design packages such as 2D and 3D software

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC)
