Newly Qualified Salaried GP (PCN ARRS)

Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner (you must be within 2 years of certificate of completion of training at the start of employment).
You will be based at our PCN hub in Rainham running clinics for our 8 practices alongside a range of roles with excellent opportunities for in-house multi-disciplinary team working.
We will consider applications for between up 2 to 8 sessions, with a start date as soon as possible.
Main duties of the job- To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting.
- Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
- To be involved in the provision of education and training to GP Registrars and other staff.
- To undertake duties governed by the GMS contract and Objectives of Direct and Local Enhanced contracts.
- To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.
This role is on a fixed term contract of 6 months.

- The post holder will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation to support practices and PCN service delivery.
- Experience of working within a nursing team
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working in a GP practice
- Newly Qualified General Practitioner (under 2 years from qualification at start of contract)
- Not previously been substantively employed at a GP Practice
- General understanding of the primary care contract
- Experience of medicines management
- Experience of ICB initiatives
