This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role. Enhanced DBS clearance and SW England required. Some posts in MASH and First Response (s47) teams are based in the Criminal Justice Centre (CJC) and are therefore subject to annual vetting by Northamptonshire Police. This clearance is required to undertake the role.

What will you be doing?

  • Smaller caseloads - to help you settle into your role

  • Hands-on learning with high levels of support and mentoring

  • Extensive training opportunities

  • Strong mentors overseeing your development

About you

That's why we're looking for talented, ambitious and passionate people like you to come and join us. You will need to be a Social Work graduate with the following attributes:

  • A passion to improve the lives of children

  • Ambition and motivation

  • Commitment to continuously developing your social work practice

  • Ideally have pre-qualified children's social care work experience

  • Be degree qualified in Social Work

  • Be up to date with current legislation/policy/procedures around child protection

  • Able to work under pressure, excellent organisational ability

  • Have knowledge/understanding of using appropriate assessment tools and research.
