Job Description

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Technical Support for the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor Coordination Platform and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The main objective of this contract is to advance the sustainable development of seamless transport connections between Europe and Central Asia and within the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.

Location: Astana, Kazakhstan.

Duration: The intended start date is 1st May 2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.

Key expert: Junior transport expert

️ Qualifications and skills:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent diploma) in transport, economics or any other directly related disciplines. In its absence, the Master's degree can be replaced by a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent diploma) plus 2 years of professional experience, in addition to the minimum professional experience required by the profile;
  • Good knowledge of international and EU transport legislation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated by past professional experience (refer to specific experience in publications, drafting of analytical reports, preparation of communication products, speaking engagements, etc.);
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Languages: C1 knowledge in English and Russian; B2 knowledge of Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen or Uzbek will be considered as an asset.

️ General professional experience:

  • At least 5 years of general professional experience in the transport sector, including the implementation of transport legislation, transport-related policies and best practices;

️Specific professional experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the implementation of transport projects in Enlargement countries, or in the Eastern or Southern Partnership, or in Central Asia. In particular, experience in Central Asia will be considered an asset.
