How to contribute to our vision

We are looking for an Operational Planner to join our Global Planning and Control team that provides planning for all of our worldwide Offshore Service sites. This role has a mainly UK focus, but may assist with planning for sites anywhere globally.

You will be responsible for the medium and long term planning of our sites, working closely with Operations colleagues; coordinating and supporting with our resource management team to supply the resources required to complete scope.

This will be and exciting and varied role where every day will pose an interesting challenge. Some of the tasks you can expect to be involved in include:
  • Develop, maintain and update long and medium term project schedules in collaboration with the Site Manager and Operations Manager. Obtain sign off of revised plans from Operations Managers. Work closely with sites to gain relevant information for updating the plans
  • Organize regular planning review meetings with relevant site personnel to review the plan, to monitor progress and identify any potential issues or risks to achieving the plan
  • Maintain the resource forecast required to deliver the long and medium term plans. Align resource demands with site management and various resource management functions
  • Critically challenge plans and requested changes and carry out scenario planning for long and medium term plans if needed. Produce reports to assist relevant stakeholders in selection of the correct execution strategies, advise on potential impact of changes
  • Support Operations Manager with Planning Reports for customers, if needed
  • Be the expert key user in P6 or other chosen planning systems, acting as system support to other business users

What you need to make a difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for
  • Proven experience within an Operational role with a full understanding of how our service business operates
  • Be an expert user of P6 and Microsoft excel, or have a strong base knowledge with the ability to learn these systems to become an expert user
  • You will understand standard safety, financial and operational performance metrics and how to influence them
  • Have the ability to travel when required to our UK sites to offer support and occasionally to other areas
  • Be a problem solver with the ability to lead by example.
