As a Silicon Technician operator you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to silicon wafer processing and handling in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This includes operating equipment, and following established procedures to ensure the accurate and efficient production of silicon components.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain silicon wafer processing, such as cleaning, etching, and measuring silicon wafers.
- Handle and transport silicon wafers using proper protocols and procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Follow established operating procedures and work instructions for silicon wafer processing.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers to address issues and optimize process performance.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide feedback for enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in silicon wafer processing
Technical Skills/Knowledge.
- Experience in wafer probing or semiconductor manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with bonding techniques, alignment procedures, and wafer handling equipment.
- Ability to work meticulously with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using microscopes and other relevant inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have good experience in assembly techniques and good attention to detail of components and assemblies
- Limited prior training and/or experience required
- A willingness to learn new skills
- A good timekeeper
