Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
The purpose of the OPG Operations Coordinator is to coordinate all operations on a project specific basis. It is vital the Operations Coordinator builds a culture that promotes working safely and reducing the cost of poor quality across scopes they are coordinating.
The Operations Coordinator will have good operational and technical base knowledge and they will continue to further enhance their inter and intra personal skills in order to play their role in leading the project operationally. Together with this, they will develop positive relationships with all stakeholders and overcome rewarding challenges, both independently and as a part of the wider team.
Functions
SAFETY
• Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.
• Promote and lead a strong HSE culture at all times.
• Introduce initiatives that are safety driven with the hope of reducing Incidents and hazards in all operations.
• Participation in the company HSE Observation card and STOP programs and maintain weekly LSR Self Verification schedule.
• Use their SWA (Stop Work Authority) to stop a job they may feel is unsafe, in order to prevent an accident/incident occurring.
• Work and abide by our life saving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space and pressure testing, and practice the fatality prevention behaviours that are associated with each life saving rule.
LEADERSHIP
• Promote the highest standard of morals and ethics.
• Have open communication with other functions (Projects, Engineering, Bids and Proposals, SCM) in order to execute tasks flawlessly.
• Track and drive the Technician Competencies and ensure of their completion.
• Have accountability over personnel and equipment movements for the duration of the project.
TECHNICAL
• Coordinate technician resources for assigned project, including the following:
o Technician levels (working with the Operations manager to assign resources to the project)
o Technician schedule (through schedulink)
o Technician travel (oversee GM, through schedulink)
o Correct certification for Operations personnel on the project
o Coordinate crew change with the vessel/site for Operations personnel.
• Oversee the usage of the asset and maintenance management systems to log; equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and equipment certifications for the project assigned.
• Participate in Project and Engineering meetings as required.
• Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, Electrical and hydraulic schematics, and assembly procedures.
• Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that are operated by Oceaneering with reference to the project assigned.
• Manage the reporting of Non conformances and cost of poor quality (COPQ), and the Management of Change (MOC) process, as well as other processes.
• Assist with all technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings, schematics, OMMs etc. as required for job.
• Interface with client representatives where necessary.
• Work as a positive and collaborative team player, when working in team environments.
• Maintain credentials and complete required training on-line in Oceneering's chosen Learning Management System (Sum Total).
ADDITIONAL
• Participate in the review and close out of action items/gaps found in the above mentioned HSE programs (Observation cards, STOP and LSR Self Verification)
• The list of job duties described above is not exclusive or exhaustive and the employee may be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the job.
• Assist with any other duties as and when required; and
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure readiness status of all equipment in location of responsibility.
• Ensure the readiness and competency of all offshore and onshore technicians.
• Repair and Maintenance cost of equipment.
• All processes changes or implementation is completed and maintained across area of given responsibility.
Key Interactions
• As required, discuss with Operations the readiness of equipment to support upcoming requirements and ongoing projects.
• As required, discuss with Project Managers the crew selection, preparedness, and overall competency performance.
• As required, discuss local technical and engineering support, any new or ongoing support requirements.
• Daily interaction with Global Mobility.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Trade qualifications and/OR,
• Relevant Oilfield experience to include at least three (3) years of Administrative, Office or Operations Management experience; or any combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• A progressive mindset and a want to develop new skills and build new relationships.
