The Opportunity

We are seeking a business-focused People Partner to strategically partner with Corporate Services directors across Arup and deliver our People Priorities. This is a great opportunity to influence and make an impact on a global level, shaping our integrated functions and driving success across the organization.

Corporate Services is a global function consisting of: Finance, Digital Technology, People, Legal, Marketing & Communications, Health and Safety, Arup University, and Company Secretariat; you'll work with teams located across all Arup regions.

Reporting to the Corporate Services People Director, you will be tasked with thinking creatively to identify forward-thinking people solutions that foster an environment where our members can flourish and grow.

The People Partner will guide directors through everyday people matters, manage key processes like pay reviews and promotions, and steer strategic talent initiatives to ensure we have the right people in place for future success. You'll also direct organizational design and development efforts, working closely with stakeholders to implement changes that deliver real value.

Partnership is key; you'll partner with our People Centers of Excellence (CoE) teams to create solutions that address our most pressing priorities. Your ability to support, coach, and challenge senior leaders will be crucial in driving improved performance and fostering a positive culture that reflects our values.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have operated as a strategic People Partner in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Can lead and manage change and restructure programmes.
  • Have a growth mindset, a high level of curiosity, and flexibility in their approach.
  • Are creative problem solvers with a high level of initiative and a sense of personal accountability.
  • Are highly skilled at relationship management with senior stakeholders and are used to influencing and dealing with high levels of resistance to change.
  • Are comfortable operating with ambiguity and change.
  • Are CIPD qualified or equivalent.
