Job Description
Job Title: Pharmacist
Grade: Band 8
Ward/Dept: Pharmacy
Trust: Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation trust
Location: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 9 till 5:30
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
As part of a Clinical Pharmacy Team, to be responsible for the provision of Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Services to patients.
To have a commitment to dispensaries and to deliver the highest possible professional standards therein.
In absence of a more senior Pharmacist to take professional responsibility for the dispensary including supervision of band 6 pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Assistants and pre-registration pharmacists.
To complete a rotational training plan experiencing all major clinical areas within the Trust.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
Masters Degree in Pharmacy plus successful completion of pre-registration training year (or earlier equivalent.)
Member of General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
Prescribing Qualification
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
Relevant Qualifications
Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
This is part of Regulation 22 and we want to ensure we give candidates the heads up to have their qualifications ready to prevent delays when we onboard at Trust ID stage.
