Construction Planner required for Newry based Construction Company. Sites are based mainly in Northern Ireland with some site visits required.
Your new employer is an established and reputable construction client based in Newry, County Down who focusses on the delivery of commercial projects such as offices, government buildings and schools. Working directly with repeat private clients as well as multiple public-sector bodies, this contractor has built an excellent operational team and continues to build on their successes. Now seeking a Construction Planner, this is an ideal opportunity to join their Planning team and work on exciting new projects that will require no UK Travel and a stable environment in their Newry Head Office.
Your new role
Reporting to Senior Planner and Company Director's, your new role will support the company by identifying, controlling, and forecasting timescales and resourcing requirements for upcoming projects.You will work alongside other Planners and site teams to implement best practices and project planning policies, processes, and procedures during the full life cycle of projects from tender through to completion.You will be responsible for accurately identifying and resourcing requirements for projects including labour, plant, and materials. You will provide support for all construction planning functions, ensuring that issues or delays within the programme are highlighted and understood by all.This role is open to all levels of Construction Planning experience or Project / Contract Managers who have experience working on programmes.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a permanent vacancy with a highly successful company who are well respected in the trade and have a number of high-profile jobs underway. Previous experience of working in a construction planning role will be required as well as a good understanding of Microsoft Project or Asta Software programmes will be required. However, as stated, the role is open to all levels of experience. As long as you have experience covering all elements of construction planning, you could be a fit. The role will be based in their head office in Newry, so you must be able to commute to and from.
