Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Are you a skilled storyteller with a passion for writing and understanding how to tailor messages for different journalists and media outlets? Do you have a strong network in Swedish media and a keen understanding of new trends and the media landscape in Sweden? If yes, you could be BCG's PR & Communications Senior Specialist.

As PR & Communications Senior Specialist you will have the responsibility for developing and implementing our Nordic PR & media relations strategy for the Swedish market. This role carries end-to-end accountability for PR activities - from creating and delivering the local strategy to producing all press materials (such as pitches, press releases, op-eds, etc.), conducting outreach to journalists, and managing internal stakeholders. You'll also be responsible for preparing senior spokespeople for media interactions, including media training, interview prep, and drafting talking points.

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of PR efforts in Sweden, aligning with broader Nordic business goals.
  • Build and nurture strong media relationships, staying updated on the Swedish media landscape to identify coverage opportunities.
  • Provide media training and tailored messaging to prepare senior spokespeople for interviews and public appearances.
  • Develop and execute localized campaigns, turning complex reports into compelling narratives that position BCG as a thought leader. Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to develop local thought leadership pieces.
  • Manage PR around industry events, identifying opportunities for BCG's participation to boost exposure and networking.
  • Oversee crisis communication strategies, proactively monitoring and mitigating potential issues.
  • Track, analyze, and report on PR performance, using data-driven insights to ensure efforts align with the overall Nordic communications strategy. Empower spokespeople as brand advocates, including supporting their presence on LinkedIn.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
First and foremost, your basic journalistic instincts are fine-tuned, helping you to easily find compelling media angles in complex reports and projects and creating inspiring stories around a wide variety of topics. You have developed skills in networking and building trust with journalists as well as internal stakeholders. You know how to guide senior leadership in seeing the importance of taking an active role in earned media as industry experts, to set agendas and raise awareness of BCG.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

You have a bachelor's/master's degree in journalism, communications, or another relevant field, backed up by 5 years of hands-on experience working with PR and external communications. You write alluringly in both Swedish and English, and have a broad understanding of business, society, and the public agenda. Our corporate language is English, so you must be able to communicate fluently, both in writing and speaking.

Operating in a professional business environment, you work equally well alone or as part of a team. You take initiative and you see your projects through from start to finish. You have strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects within a dynamic and fast-moving business environment.

We work to strengthen and protect BCG's brand, advance our business agenda, and partner with management to engage with our key audiences through activities such as public relations, alumni outreach, events, and social media.
