Procurement Program Manager/Category Mgmt - Procurement vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.

Your tasks:

• Leading the design and implementation of a structured, scalable framework for category strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, procurement objectives, and market trends
• Developing and promoting advanced tools, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality execution across the organization
• Partnering with Procurement Category Managers to support and drive the development of robust, actionable category strategies
• Monitoring, evaluating, and adapting category strategies to meet evolving organizational needs, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement
• Delivering impactful training sessions and workshops to equip Category Managers with the tools, skills, and confidence to succeed
• Defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators to assess the success of category strategies, identifying strengths and areas for improvement

Your experience/knowledge:

• 8+ years in strategic procurement or category management, with a proven track record in developing and executing procurement strategies
• Solid expertise in procurement processes, tools, and best practices across diverse categories
• Proficiency in evaluating procurement performance metrics and leveraging data for informed decision-making
• Strong background in mentoring and collaborating with procurement teams, including Category Managers, to achieve outstanding results
• University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field, professional certifications like CIPS, CPSM would be a plus

• Strong leadership skills with a knack for motivating and mentoring procurement professionals
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder influence
