Procurement Workstream Lead

We are looking for a Procurement Workstream Lead to help the Council capitalise on the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of the Procurement workstream across several projects, including the new Ariba SAP S/4 HANA ERP system. You will ensure a successful implementation by driving automation opportunities through streamlined processes, creating a seamless experience for all users. As a key member of the One Programme leadership team, you will manage a diverse team of internal staff and contractors, collaborate with key stakeholders, and optimise both data accuracy and the adoption of the ERP system.
Key accountabilities:
- Oversee and manage the implementation of the Procurement workstream for multiple projects, including the integration of the new Ariba SAP S/4 HANA ERP system.
- Identify and enable opportunities for process automation, ensuring the implementation of well-defined, streamlined procurement processes that enhance user experience and system efficiency.
- Partner with internal staff, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, alignment, and support throughout the implementation phase.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of procurement-related data, and drive the successful adoption of the ERP system across the organisation.
- Manage a team of internal staff and contractors, providing guidance and leadership to ensure the successful execution of the Procurement workstream within the overall programme framework.
Key requirements:
- Experience of large-scale SAP Ariba implementations and transformation programmes is highly desirable.
- Experience of leading a workstream implementation within a complex environment and including changes to systems is desirable.
- Experience of designing processes through to their implementation.
- Leading and developing team members for enhanced effectiveness and for future career paths.
