How to contribute to our vision

Join Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as a Production Engineer and be the technical powerhouse driving site optimization, continuous improvement, and stellar performance in safety, quality, and delivery!

The purpose of the role is to support site planned activities, drive continuous improvement / process optimization and lead/contribute to the improvement of site Key Performance Indicator (KPI)'s and production.

This is achieved through being the direct technical liaison between the client, site and engineering / technical support functions with focus on key business metrics in safety, product/service quality, delivery and operating standards. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our successful Production Engineering team, the individual will be home based with regular travel to site across the UK.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
  • Analyse Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) performance to identify sources of loss production and steps required to improve the sites availability
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with customer organisation(s) acting as technical lead for the management / delivery of technical queries
  • Provide information to assist Engineering in developing solutions
  • Drive project to optimize site processes and increase availability
  • Lead Customer Technical meetings and onsite technical review meetings
  • Assist in the production and publication of accurate site reports for both internal and external customers
  • Active safety leadership within the team - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions
  • Support execution of the contract(s) within site to the agreed financial performance requirements, not compromising safe or responsible working
  • Technically Coach and Develop the team in line with SGRE management standards
  • Ensure compliance with site rules and regulations
  • Support the use of ATS/GRT/Salesforce and various other systems
  • Ad hoc provision of data/review of Power Bi Reports/Weekly KPI review & reporting in support of the monthly reporting process
  • Strive to improve First Time Fix

  • Engineering/Technical/service background essential
  • Strong ability to analyze data/spot trends with good attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to go offshore
  • Driving license preferred
