Job Description
General information

We are seeking a Program Director MBA Programs (f/m/d) to join WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management at our Düsseldorf campus. The role involves overseeing the organization, administration, and successful delivery of our MBA programs, which are offered in two formats: full-time (established in 2005) and part-time (established in 2010). These programs are designed for individuals with a university degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience. Both are conducted entirely in English. As the Program Director (f/m/d), you will take on full responsibility for leading the program's team and working closely with the leadership team. The position can also be shared.


Your mission
  • Lead and guide the MBA team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality academic program, aligned with WHU's mission, standards, and code of conduct.
  • Plan, innovate, and coordinate all program components (lectures, workshops, etc.) in collaboration with the Academic Director to ensure the program is responsive to market trends, global business challenges, and student needs.
  • Act as primary contact for students, faculty, and other stakeholders and ensure effective stakeholder management, program performance, and student satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage the program budget effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial sustainability.
  • Oversee program-related responsibilities for accreditations and rankings.
  • Strategically develop the MBA programs in partnership with all key WHU stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure the program's visibility and attractiveness.

Your profile
  • A university degree or comparable education is required (advanced qualifications, such as an MBA, are preferred).
  • Extensive professional experience, ideally in a leadership role at an internationally accredited academic institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and educational best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and optimizing resources effectively.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges and identify solutions quickly.
  • A high level of service orientation and excellent public speaking skills.
  • Full fluency in both English and German.
