Programme Director for the Programme Responsible AI Systems (f/m/d)

You are a leader

You will be responsible for the programme "Responsible AI Systems" and organising the study operations. In parallel, you will also be responsible for setting up and developing the degree programme with a focus on AI. You will be lecturing in your scientific discipline and contribute to the Department of Science and Technology's research areas with applied research projects. In order to develop and realise innovative ideas in digitalisation, you will act as a link between business and technology. You will inspire students when supervising their academic papers and nurture our network by fostering relationships with regional and international partners. You also have all what it takes to motivate people exploring current business topics and their links.

You have a distinctly international outlook
  • University degree (PhD or equivalent) majoring in Computer Science
  • University teaching experience
  • Experience of conducting research projects and attracting third-party funding
  • Experience in developing study programs an advantage
  • Experience in management positions and international projects an advantage
  • Strong publication record and active member of the AI scientific community (as reflected in memberships, conference attendance and peer review work)
  • Excellent English and German (min. C1 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

IMC Krems is not a member of any collective agreement. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 58.800,- on the basis of full-time employment (40 hours per week) plus the allowance for the head of degree programme. Depending on professional qualifications and experience, we are willing to overpay. The award of a professorship is not tied to the conclusion of an employment contract but to a peer review process and requires appropriate evidence of the candidate's record in teaching, research and practice.
