EUMETSAT's role is to establish and operate meteorological satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisation's Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.

Within our Project Planning and Control Competence Area (PPC CA), you will support project control services to the LEO (Low Earth Orbit Programmes) Division. The LEO division is responsible for the development of the Second Generation of the Eumetsat Polar System Programme. The EPS-SG system is one of the most innovative weather satellite systems ever built. The first constellation of satellites is planned to be launched in the timeframe 2025/2026.
In this role, you will report to the Lead Project Controller for LEO Programmes and focus on budget preparation, cost and budget control, human resources and financial planning and reporting for the Second Generation of the Eumetsat Polar System Programme (EPS-SG).
What you'll be doing
Support the Programme budget execution and perform related cost control activities, including invoice control and support to procurement actions and/or changes within Cooperation Agreements;
Monitor and control the budget implementation status in order to anticipate any major deviations and prepare for the year-end closure process;
Support the preparation of inputs to the annual budgets and long-term financial planning;
Support the maintenance of the Cost At Completion;
Support the preparation of the Financial Bilateral meetings, and/or other iterations with Partners such as ESA, DLR, NOAA, CNES;
In the frame of Human Resource (HR) planning activities, support the establishment of the long-term HR plan for the Programme and coordinate requests for matrix support arrangements when applicable;
Support Project Control reporting, in particular as regards management and performance reporting including production/analysis of monthly performance indicators;
Provide general administrative support for project control activities.
Profil Requirements
Qualifications:
Full secondary education and additional training and experience in a relevant discipline.
Skills and Experience:
Proved experience with cost or project control tasks;
Proven knowledge and practice of administrative processes based on ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and strong MS Excel ability;
Organised and methodical approach with the ability to handle high volumes of data, pay close attention to details and work to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment;
Proactivity and strong capability for analytical thinking and seeing the big picture while maintaining a focus on details;
Good team-working and interpersonal skills with the ability to apply them both within and across teams.
Languages:
Candidates must be able to work effectively in English.
