Job Description

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 3-month contract based remotely or alternatively you can be base yourself from Andover or Whittington Barracks

The successful candidate may have to travel to Construction sites; any accrued travel expenses will be paid.

As a Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Drive adoption of the new Defence Infrastructure Counter Terrorism Measure guidance by working with delivery colleagues to build understanding and adherence
  • Support DIO Technical Services with CTM queries, providing expert CTM knowledge and input
  • Support wider MPP with CTM guidance for projects, ensuring proportionate application of guidance, using Engineering knowledge/background to roll out the training
  • The individual will need to work closely with Front Line Command (FLC) Physical Security Advisers, Major Programmes and Project team (MPP), Project Manager and FLC requirement managers to ensure that the potential for CTM efficiencies is met and delivered

Essential

  • Active DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role
  • Understanding of Counter Terrorism Measure
  • Outstanding Stakeholder Management skills at all levels
  • Construction / Design / Civil Engineering experience
