Job Description
Project Engineer - Permanent - Main Contractor - Derbyshire Sites - Water Projects

Your new company
You will be joining a high-profile main contractor working on water schemes in the Derbyshire area. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work in the water industry and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Project Engineer.

Your new role
As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance
  • Liaising with subcontractors, site management and suppliers
  • Maintaining good client relationships at all levels
  • Monitoring subcontract performance
  • Ensuring all applications for payment are made on/before the due date
  • Assisting in the production of contract programmes, monitoring programmes as well as producing progress reports.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
  • Basic engineering background (electrical and/or mechanical)
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes
  • CDM and health & safety knowledge.
