PROJECT MANAGER - 6 months FTC for maternity cover

Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award-winning digital content studio and media network currently on a quest to find a Project Manager to join our Data, Product & Insights team. Is this your next opportunity?

The Data, Technology, and Product team comprises several primary branches: Data Analytics, Data Visualisation, Reporting, Technology Development, and Data Science. The Project Manager within this team will be responsible for managing a diverse array of projects that necessitate various approaches, primarily Waterfall and Agile. The Project Manager must also engage effectively with a range of stakeholders across all teams within the organisation. Familiarity with conducting Scrum ceremonies and facilitating successful Sprints across the teams will be essential for this role.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

• Liaising with stakeholders to discuss high-level requirements.
• Working with the respective team to successfully develop detailed project plans, including effective resource allocations and realistic timeframes.
• Ensuring that tasks on all current projects are clearly defined and agreed with stakeholders and delivered on agreed timescale and impact, removing any blockers.
• Establishing and overseeing all aspects of the project, including budgets, risks and issues, dependencies, milestones, and project plans, encompassing timelines and resource estimates, to ensure successful management of projects in terms of time, cost, and quality.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, monitoring progress through regular status updates, and updating Project Management tools with all project progress.
• Motivating and engaging all project teams, setting priorities and resolving risks, issues, and dependencies as required.
• Managing resourcing with the leads of the team to provide appropriate deadlines to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the Scrum methodology to run separate sprints for the Development, Insights, and Data Science teams, ensuring maximum efficiency through daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions.
• Managing external Development resources successfully.
• Overseeing daily tasks across multiple teams while connecting them for broader project collaboration.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices - knowledge of Asana is a bonus!
• Extensive project management experience in technical environments, including software development management, and in coordinating projects/tasks alongside business analysts.
• Basic technical understanding of data flows and coding languages such as Python, SQL, and PHP would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders and overseeing agile and waterfall projects, including proficiency in methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Agile certifications, PRINCE2, or Scrum an advantage.
• Comfortable with delivering both fast-paced short-term projects as well as slower-paced long-term projects.
