We are currently looking for a hybrid Project Manager/Scrum Master to work on a project based in Dublin. The Project is a large-scale program within Reference Data, focused on delivering technical solutions and business outcomes in a highly agile environment. The Dublin-based team is part of a broader strategy to scale operations in 2025, and the position of Project Manager/Scrum Master is integral to the program's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management & Project Delivery: The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects within the program, ensuring deliverables are planned and executed effectively while aligning with broader business goals. The position requires both strategic oversight and hands-on execution to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Agile and Scrum Methodology: While Scrum Master responsibilities comprise only about 20% of the role, the individual should still have a solid understanding of Agile practices. They will need to facilitate Scrum ceremonies when necessary and drive the team toward efficient delivery within an Agile framework.

  • Stakeholder Management: A critical component of the role is managing and communicating with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders. The Project Manager/Scrum Master will need to translate complex technical information into language that suits different audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams.

  • Cross-Functional Communication: The individual will serve as the key communication link across the program, ensuring that both technical and business teams are aligned. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required to prepare reports, updates, and presentations clearly and concisely.

  • Tech-Savvy with a Banking & Change Focus: While deep knowledge of reference data is not required, the individual should have a strong understanding of the banking sector, technical environments, and change management processes. The ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams will be essential.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technical Mindset: The individual should be comfortable engaging with technical teams and managing technical project elements. While deep coding expertise is not necessary, the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts is key.

  • Experience in Project Management: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects, preferably within banking or technology environments. Experience with large-scale initiatives and familiarity with Agile methodologies will be highly beneficial.

  • Agile/Scrum Knowledge: While Scrum experience is not the primary focus of the role, a solid understanding of Agile practices will be important. The individual should be comfortable facilitating Scrum ceremonies as needed and guiding teams toward Agile delivery.

  • Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication must be top-notch. The individual will be expected to prepare clear, concise reports and present updates to diverse stakeholders, ensuring that communication is accurate and free of errors.

Challenges & Opportunities:

  • Team Scaling: As the Dublin team is expected to grow aggressively in 2025, the individual will play a key role in shaping and leading this expansion. They will have the opportunity to define team culture, processes, and integrate new members into the agile environment.

Stakeholder Engagement: Balancing the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders will be an ongoing challenge. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills will be critical for managing expectations and ensuring alignment across teams
